- I am the 40-ish mother of a 16 year old boy who is cute, blond and different (he is autistic)! My husband (we're separated now though) just received the amazing gift of a heart transplant on March 26, 2009 (for real!!!). The rest is commentary. I have learned not to make eye contact with any committee chairperson at our synagogue. "Gee, I live so far away" is my mantra!!! I am sure to get at least 7 hours of sleep every night. Well, at least I did before our Transplant Adventure which has made me seriously sleep deprived and a little forgetful. I play a mean game of mah jongg. I don't name names and I am working on learning to keep my mouth shut when in a crowd. I don't care WHAT my sister-in-law says, blogging is a hell of a lot more economical and easier on the psyche than electric shock treatments so I am blogging on!!!!
